Fruit Oil Powering Aviation?
Air New Zealand conducted a two hour test flight for the media where a jet was flying on a combo of regular jet fuel and fruit oil derived from the Jatropha plant. Apparently, this fruit oil is supposed to leave a smaller carbon footprint than other biofuels. My take: although biofuels are really nothing new, they will provide us with a step forward in being environmentally friendly. Alternate energy sources will help to shape the economies of virtually every major country and our everyday life. Source: Peter Mychalcewycz

Welcome
Hey everybody:
This blog is brand new so it may take a little bit to get some solid traffic, but you can help us out by posting and inviting everyone you know to post. Who knows, we may unearth the next great thing like the ipod, which as everyone knows, dominates the mp3 player market. My only request about the content of this blog is that you try to avoid bringing politics into discussion; any could argue for days about politics and we want to keep the blog a safe and friendly place for discovering the "next big thing" in our society.
Thanks for posting!
